Sensitive Shell Structures Copyright: SLA Buckling bahaviour of imperfection sensitive shell structures
  • Expanding the Weight-Strength-Curves for unstiffened CFRP thin-walled shell structures in order to compare different structural concepts regarding their mass and load carrying capacity.
  • Development of a holistic model in order to couple the economical and the structural design of thin-walled unstiffened shell structures and enable to choose the structure concept that represents the economical optimum.
 
 

About Mr. Lyssakow

Pawel Lyssakow studied from 2009 till 2016 Mechanical Engineering and specializedin aviation and aerospace engineering at the RWTH Aachen University. In 2015 he wrote his master thesis at the UNSW in Sydney.

Since 2016, Mr. Lyssakow has been worling at the SLA as a research assistant and shows a profound knowledge in the field of unstiffened thin-walled shell structures. Working at SLA he is responsible for several tasks. One of them is the supervision of the courses Fibre-Reinforced Composites 1 and 2, Mechanics of Composite Materials, Processes and Principles of Lightweight Design and Lightweight Design of Aerospace Structures [SS16]. Furthermore he is working on the extension of the Weight-Strength Curves for unstiffened composite shell structures in order to enable a comparison regarding the structural mass and the load carrying capacity of shell structures as well as the development of a holistic model in order to couple the structural and the economical design of shell structures. Last but not least he works on the numerical and analytical design of crash structures and the execution of experimental crash tests.
