About Mr. Schmidt
After receiving his degree in Mechanical Engineering from the RWTH Aachen University in 2007, Hauke Schmidt started working as a researcher at the Institute of Aeroelasticity at the German Aerospace Center (DLR) in Göttingen. Soon afterwards he joined the SLA team being responsible for the fluid-structure interaction of the VEGA payload fairing. The project includes the analysis of the dynamic response of the PLF by taking the transonic aerodynamic forces, structural vibrations and acoustic pressure fluctuations into account. He owns a profound knowledge on the fields of aeroelastic simulation, load analysis and design, structural mechanics and the numerical computing environment MATLAB.
