About Mr. Kortmann
Martin Kortmann studied Mechanical Engineering at University of Paderborn from 2007 to 2013 and finished his master’s degree working at Volkswagen AG. During his education he decided on spezialising in the fields of design technology, lightweight design, metallic materials and plastics technology. From 2011 till 2012 he spent half a year in the US for an internship. Since 2013, he works as a researcher for the Institute of Structural Mechanics and Lightweight Design and is responsible for the development of the mechanical and electrical interface within the framework of the cooperation projects iBOSS-2 and iBOSS-3. Furthermore, he supports the development and design of other, project-specific mechanisms and structural components.
